It will... on Jake, at the expense of blogging! For me, Twitter is a way to blog that is not as time consuming as real blogging, so that I can devote more time to the kids. They are really a huge time-sink...

I have mixed feelings about how bloggers are sucked into Twitter, as I have been. I certainly blog less now that I tweet.
The Tweetstream is so ephemeral, and while it is accessible and searchable in theory, in reality it is often hard to find what you are looking for. Anyway, I've been following catshanghai in my RSS reader and now I've found you in Twitter thanks to this post!
Anyway, best wishes on your upcoming birth. Agree with @msittig - kids demand the attention that they deserve!

Thanks for getting in touch Elliott. One thing we can learn from the brevity of Twitter is how to be more concise in our blog posts and Emails so we have more time to spend with our families. That's the idea! I'll keep in touch via Twitter. Best wishes, Matt
